Handwriting Without Tears

Discover how your child will grow, learn, and thrive in our specialized program

At Newstead Academy, our early literacy program for children aged 2 to 6 is designed to spark a love for reading and writing from the very beginning. We use the Handwriting Without Tears curriculum, a developmentally appropriate and engaging approach that helps young children build strong pre-writing and writing skills through fun, hands-on activities. Our teachers guide children in letter recognition, phonemic awareness, and fine motor development using songs, stories, and multisensory tools. This nurturing, play-based foundation prepares children for confident communication and a successful transition into formal schooling.
