Hello Everyone! My name is Paola, and I am very excited to join the team at Newstead Academy! I am a recent graduate from the George Brown College ECE program. I also have a Bachelor Degree in Children, Childhood, and Youth Studies from York University. I have always loved working with children, and knew I wanted to be a teacher since I was a child myself! A few years ago I had the privilege of working with young pre-k children as a Camp Councellor , and absolutely loved it. Based on this experience I decided to pursue Early Childhood Education, and focus on the education and development of Young Children. I now have gained experience working with young children from Infant to Kindergarten age from my student placements at George Brown College, as well as being a mom to my 1 year old baby boy! I look forward to working with the team at Newstead Academy in creating a safe, inclusive environment to support children’s learning, development, and well-being. As well as working with children to create a child-led, play based curriculum that promotes children’s developing skills and interests!
