Welcome to kindergarten: the gateway to grade school and everything that comes next! Our kindergarten programs offer inquiry based learning curriculums that mix learning and fun. Very young children have a natural curiosity and wonderment about their world, which makes Kindergarten a fun place to be. It is also why inquiry-based learning in kindergarten works so well. The ways in which children play, explore and question are delightful, but more importantly, they are also fundamental to their early cognitive development.
Their futures are looking bright!
Kids this age thrive on routine. We use a schedule with simple pictures to show them what’s coming up next! This keeps them feeling confident about what to expect for the day and be part of the plan. We’ll talk about our day in morning circle and have lots of visual reminders everywhere.
Kindergarten is also where your child becomes more independent with things like hand-washing and potty-training. That’s why sinks, toilets, and furniture in our classrooms are all kid-size—so they can build confidence knowing they can do it all by themselves.
Introduce Our New Program: Starting September 2023
Jump Math, founded in 2002 by Dr. John Mighton, empowers educators and students worldwide with an understanding and appreciation of math, structured resources supporting every teacher to engage every student in every math class, focusing on how students learn through extensive research, overcoming 'math anxiety' by building confidence and resilience incrementally, completely aligned with Canadian curriculum outcomes, making math interactive and fun through guided discovery, providing a balance of guided practice and student inquiry activities for teacher collaboration, lesson planning, and precision teaching of mathematical skills and concepts.
The path to literacy spirals out in one magic moment: When a child’s lines become language Handwriting Without Tears is a developmentally based program designed to progress a child’s fine motor skills along with visual skills through fun and interactive activities. Handwriting is one of the foundational skills that lead students toward automatic word recognition. Through time-tested methods of letter formation, students embark on the pathway to reading and writing excellence while connecting letters to sound and fortifying the alphabetic principle. When students make connections between sounds and letters, the pathway to reading unfolds before them. We nurture these connections sequentially and systematically, based on the science of reading, helping students acquire the range of skills they need to become proficient readers. The Handwriting Without Tears program provides your child with the necessary skills to be successful with handwriting in school. This program was developed to meet the needs of all learners, including English language learners (ELL), English as a second language (ESL), and bilingual students. The idea is that if you can work with a child’s natural developmental abilities, and teach them in ways they will connect with, the skill of handwriting can be learned with joy.
We offers a strong Beginner French Language Program to our kindergarten class, based on activity based learning opportunities and formal instruction. The purpose of our program is to develop Kindergarten students' skills in reading, writing and oral communication in French language. Get the children prepared for French Immersion schools.
