LittleCitizens,BigHearts

At Newstead Academy, we believe in fostering a strong sense of community and teaching children the value of connection, empathy, and civic engagement. Throughout the year, we actively participate in meaningful community initiatives, such as organizing food bank donations to support local families in need. We also invite our local fire crew to visit the center, giving children the exciting opportunity to meet real-life heroes, learn about fire safety, and explore a fire truck up close. In addition, we support local spirit by attending junior hockey games, where children experience the joy of cheering for their hometown team and being part of the wider community. These experiences help our young learners build lasting values of kindness, teamwork, and gratitude.
