My name is Yasmine Hashimi (often called Yasi), and I am a Registered Early Childhood Educator with over ten years of experience in early learning and program leadership. My work is grounded in supporting children's development through responsive, well-structured, and nurturing learning environments that promote confidence, independence, and social-emotional growth. Throughout my career, I have supported program operations, mentored educators, and collaborated closely with families to ensure high-quality, developmentally appropriate practice. I am passionate about creating calm, organized classrooms where intentional teaching and meaningful interactions can take place, and I believe that when educators are well supported, children are better positioned to succeed. In addition to my work in early childhood education, I am also a certified pediatric sleep consultant, which has strengthened my understanding of the connection between healthy routines, emotional regulation, and school readiness. My professional values centre on building secure relationships, fostering self-regulation skills, and supporting each child as an individual learner. As part of the Newstead Academy community, I am committed to fostering supportive partnerships with families and contributing to a learning environment where every child can thrive.
